Bio
Colombian guitar and tiple player and composer Fernando Mora Angel was born in Envigado (Colombia) in 1972. Fernando´s works combine elements from the art, folk, and popular Colombian and Latin American music. His training as an engineer allows him to explore experimental and contemporary extended techniques of composition. For some of his works, he uses the algorithmic generation of musical ideas derived from artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques. Fernando holds a B.A. in guitar, a B.A. in Systems Engineering, and M.A. in music from the Universidad de Antioquia in Colombia. Fernando teaches at the Universidad de Antioquia, where he is also a researcher of the Regional Music group.
