Bio
Oliver Naumann was born in Rüsselsheim, Germany in 1984. His formal musical training began at the Peter-Cornelius-Conservatorium in Mainz, Germany where he attended the pre-college jazz program on his instrument of choice, the saxophone.
Continuing his studies at the renowned Amsterdam Conservatory in the Netherlands, he received a bachelor’s degree in jazz performance and music education. He then followed up with postgraduate work at SUNY Purchase, NY and The City College of New York, NY, studying under the tutelage of Dick Oatts, Jon Gordon, Jim Rotondi, and John Pattitucci, among others.
