Mozes Rosenberg Method - Volume II

In the second Mozes Rosenberg Method lesson pack, Mozes Rosenberg teaches four fantastic Gypsy Jazz songs!
The tunes we picked for Volume II are:
- Swing 48,
- Daphne,
- Danse Norvegienne,
- Miri Swing

Once again, we aim to serve a diverse repertoire of songs that will not only challenge the already advanced players but also remain accessible and informative to those just beginning their Gypsy Jazz guitar journey.
To achieve this, all tunes have both basic and advanced solo's, ideas and concepts you can play with.

Characteristics of a basic solo:
- short phrases,
- a clear relation between the phrase and the chord,
- not too fast or complicated rhythms

The more advanced solo's have:
- longer phrases, connecting multiple chord changes,
- more advanced concepts like tritone substitutions or altered phrases,
- can have very fast licks and/or complicated rhythms.

Swing 48
A famous song written by Django Reinhardt, that's based on the minor blues form.
This song is sometimes performed extremely fast in a live setting. But for the educaional purpose of these lessons, we decided to take the tempo down a bit.
In the lessons you'll find:
- a slow solo and a medium tempo solo,
- an octave solo,
- a chord solo,
- how to play the basic chords and a more jazzy variation that Mozes likes to use,
- some instructions on how to create your own octave solo, chord solo, and how to build a solo.

Daphne
Another classic Django piece. This one is based on the "rhythm changes" chord progression.
Mozes demonstrates:
- how to play the chords (with a variation during the solo's) and the theme,
- Two basic solo's,
- Two advanced solo's,
- A seperate section with licks and ideas for the A-part and for the B-part
- Some little technique lessons on how to play a specific sweep-lick and a single string lick.

Danse Norvegienne
This is the first ballad in the Mozes Rosenberg Method series.
Basically a slower piece, but not less challenging in any way!
Expect to find in these lessons:
- How to play the chords,
- Some basic solo's with shorter phrases,
- Some (very) advanced solo's with comlplicated rhythms and very fast lines,
- A lot of seperate licks per chord progression in this song.

Miri Swing
A song that Mozes wrote. Being an original song, we will explain the meaning of the title and pay some extra attention to how to play the intro and the outtro. And:
- How to play the chords,
- How to play the melody,
- An advanced solo and a basic solo,
- An interview style lesson where Mozes shares some ideas on how he approaches the improvisation on this tune.
