This composition is based on the infamous standard "The Nearness of You" originally composed by Hoagy Carmichael and put into words by Ned Washington in 1938. This composition utilizes advanced reharmonization as well as contrapuntal techniques. It will help you improve your Fingerstyle playing and give you new ideas on how to use a Song you like as a basis for a new composition.
