Wanna improvise over chord tones? The best way to get into that is to focus on the fingerings first. This course divides the guitar neck into 7 sections (or positions) and lays out all the fingerings for the 7th arpeggios within the major scale, AKA 'the Big Four'.

We'll cover each of these modes with their own video.
Major 7th
Dominant 7th
Minor 7th
Half-Diminished, or Minor 7(b5)

We use common fingerings throughout, minimizing the amount of new material you have to learn between the modes. This technique also helps us understand the fundamental and incremental differences between the scales and helps you map those out on the fretboard. Multiple videos with different points of view are available for each lesson.

This course is designed to improve your fundamental skills of the fretboard and to help you build the muscle memory required for improvisation and composition. All the exercises use the same tonic, C. Of course, you are encouraged to transpose them to all keys to gain the full benefit of the exercise.
