Basic slice settings

The slice settings screen is where you edit a slice’s name, description and various display options.

To access the slice settings, edit your slice and click the “Settings” button at the top of the screen:

Tip: While editing a slice, you can also just click the slice title at upper left.

When you open the slice settings, you’ll immediately see a place to change the basic settings:

The available fields are:

• Title — The slice’s name.
• Artist — An optional artist or composer name.
• Description — An optional textual description, which will be displayed in a sidebar next to your slice if you post the slice to your channel or include it in a private course or for-sale course.

What sort of formatting can I use in the description?

It’s limited to plain text for now. There’s no way of making text bold or italic. But we will automatically convert any URLs to clickable links.
