Editor preferences
Our editor lets you tweak a few preferences to customize your editing experience.
Only customers with a paid plan can change these preferences.
Changing your preferences
To access the editor preferences menu, edit a slice and click the button at the top of the page. Then choose “Editor preferences…”
Each available preference is described here:
Play sound when note is selected
Here, you tell Soundslice whether to play audio when you’ve selected a note in the editor (either by clicking on it or navigating to it via your keyboard). The options are:
- None — don’t play any sounds
- Play note — play the selected note (but not other notes, in case of a chord)
- Play chord — play all of the notes in the chord
Note that if you’ve selected “Play chord,” we’ll still only play individual notes when you use the up/down arrows to navigate through a chord.
Play sound when note is input
Here, you tell Soundslice whether to play audio when you enter notes or change existing notes’ pitches. The options are:
- None — don’t play any sounds
- Play note — play the new pitch (but not other pitches, in case of a chord)
- Play chord — play all of the pitches in the chord
