Selecting via the keyboard
With a note or rest selected, you can extend the selection leftward or rightward by pressing Shift Left arrow or Shift Right arrow respectively.
Selecting everything
There are two ways to select all notes and rests. Use the editor search to find either of these commands:
- Select all in instrument (all voices) — selects all notes and rests in the currently selected instrument, across all voices.
- Select all in instrument (only current voice) — selects all notes and rests in the currently selected instrument, only in the currently active voice.
Our copy-and-paste feature only supports copying single voices at a time. That’s why there’s a distinction between “all voices” and “only current voice” here.
