Using Boomwhackers colors
Boomwhackers is a way to color music notation such that each pitch gets a distinct, consistent color. Typically this is used for beginner music students, with corresponding colored instruments.
Soundslice lets you automatically enable Boomwhackers colors in sheet music. This feature is available free for any music you’re viewing on our site — whether created by yourself or created by somebody else.
Activating Boomwhackers colors
When you’re viewing a slice on our site, open the settings panel via the button at lower right of the player, then look for “Appearance.” Click “More options” and change the Colors setting to “Boomwhackers.” The notation will instantly update to use the colors.

Enabling Boomwhackers by default
If you’re creating slices on our site, you can enable Boomwhackers colors by default. Do that via the slice sharing settings.
I’m creating music in Soundslice and prefer to use other colors. What can I do?
No problem. Our editor gives you full control over coloring notes however you see fit.
