Palm muting
Here’s how to notate palm muting using the Soundslice editor.
Adding palm muting
- Select a note. (It doesn’t matter if you select it within the tablature staff or the standard-notation staff.)
- Click the “Toggle palm muting” icon in the editor sidebar’s “Tablature” menu , or search the editor for “Toggle palm muting.” Or use a keyboard shortcut.
If multiple consecutive notes have palm muting, then Soundslice will draw a single “P.M.” with a dashed line spanning all affected notes.
Removing palm muting
- Select the note that has the palm muting. (It doesn’t matter if you select it within the tablature staff or the standard-notation staff.)
- You’ll see the palm muting icon in the current notations panel. Click that icon to remove the palm muting.
How palm muting affects playback
Palm muting notation doesn’t affect synthetic playback at this time.
