Palm muting

Here’s how to notate palm muting using the Soundslice editor.

Screenshot

Adding palm muting

  1. Select a note. (It doesn’t matter if you select it within the tablature staff or the standard-notation staff.)
  2. In the editor’s top panel, open the “Tab” section and click the “Toggle palm muting” icon . Or search the editor for “Toggle palm muting.” Or use a keyboard shortcut.

If multiple consecutive notes have palm muting, then Soundslice will draw a single “P.M.” with a dashed line spanning all affected notes.

Removing palm muting

  1. Select the note that has the palm muting. (It doesn’t matter if you select it within the tablature staff or the standard-notation staff.)
  2. You’ll see the palm muting icon in the current notations section. Click that icon to remove the palm muting.
