Here’s how to notate palm muting using the Soundslice editor.
Adding palm muting
- Select a note. (It doesn’t matter if you select it within the tablature staff or the standard-notation staff.)
- Click the “Toggle palm muting” icon in the editor sidebar’s “Tablature” menu , or search the editor for “Toggle palm muting.” Or use a keyboard shortcut.
If multiple consecutive notes have palm muting, then Soundslice will draw a single “P.M.” with a dashed line spanning all affected notes.
Removing palm muting
- Select the note that has the palm muting. (It doesn’t matter if you select it within the tablature staff or the standard-notation staff.)
- You’ll see the palm muting icon in the current notations panel. Click that icon to remove the palm muting.
